Since the Foundation launched its new website in mid summer, several hundred of you have signed up at www.lowwsf.com to show your support and given us your email to stay informed about the progress we are making.
In the coming year, the Foundation will be taking the message about Lake of the Woods to a broader audience to “build the parade” in support of action to sustain Lake of the Woods water quality.  The solution for Lake of the Woods is clearer than the lake itself. It is as simple as choosing to put the lake first. Each and every one of us can make a difference in the everyday things we do. We can put the lake first by choosing phosphate-free cleaning product, choosing to keep shorelines natural, choosing to adopt best practices for sewage systems and choosing not to use fertilizers containing phosphorus.
Individual action is a powerful force for positive change. When individuals unite and call for action, change is not just possible, it is innevitable. Join us and support the efforts of the Lake of the Woods Water Sustainability Foundation to put the lake first with our provincial, state and federal governments. We've enjoyed the lake for generations — now the Lake needs us.
