The solution for Lake of the Woods is clearer than the lake itself.  It is as simple as choosing to put the lake first.  Each and every one of us can make a difference in the everyday things we do.  We can put the lake first by choosing phosphate-free cleaning product, choosing to keep shorelines natural, choosing to adopt best practices for sewage systems and choosing not to use fertilizers containing phosphorus. 

Individual action is a powerful force for positive change.  When individuals unite and call for action, change is not just possible, it is innevitable.  Join us and support the efforts of the Lake of the Woods Water Sustainability Foundation to put the lake first with our provincial, state and federal governments.  We've enjoyed the lake for generations — now the Lake needs us.
